Cars in Germany's City Found Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities mentioned they were alerted by a resident who discovered a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored liquid

Roughly fifty automobiles have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they reported in a release.

Officers state they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish liquid.

The substance had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Police then discovered numerous other marked vehicles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Police say initial examinations suggest the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no clue as to its source; investigators are currently not cognizant of any harm in connection with the occurrence," they commented.

City officials said they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have appealed to the public for information.

An important political figure stated the incident made him without words and had to be solved promptly.

"This act strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the far-right attack half a decade ago," he posted on social media, referring to the killing of nine people by a gunman targeting residents of immigrant origin in February 2020.
