According to recent figures, the number of people aged 100 and above in the UK has grown by 100% from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the figure of men aged 100 or over has grown by 200% from 910 to 3,100. During the same timeframe, the count of female individuals reaching 100 almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to receive stories from centenarians, their family or companions, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s transformative changes and developments.
